If you’re looking to rent iPhones in bulk for your next event, you’re in luck. Apple recently released the latest phone in the X series, the iPhone XR. And just like always, when a new iPhone hits the market, the prices on existing Apple products drops – an ideal opportunity for you to test your latest app or smartphone-powered VR headset at a fraction of the cost by renting an older model iPhone, like the 8, 7+, and others. Or you can provide the newest tech for your testers to use by renting the iPhone XR. No matter your iPhone rental needs, we have you covered. Read on to learn more about our wide selection of iPhone rental options available for your next event or business requirement.

iPhone X Series Rentals

How does the XR stack up?

Meant to be an introductory model, the iPhone XR is proving to be a hit with iPhone customers and reviewers alike. With many of the features compatible just as good as or better than the X, XS, and XS Max, the XR offers superb performance at a lower price.

The edge-to-edge 6.1-inch LCD display screen of the XR puts it in the middle between the XS and XS Max. The Gorilla Glass that encases the XR is the strongest front glass ever created, developed by Corning specifically for the iPhone. If weight and self-expression are something you consider in your iPhone selection, the lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum casing of the XR offered in a wide range of colors gives it a distinct advantage over its X series competitors.

The 12-megapixel camera with 5X zoom and three portrait light effects leave it at a slight disadvantage to its sister models, which boast 10X zoom and five portrait lighting effects. Though, if you’re not using your iPhone for more serious photography, this difference may be negligible enough to overlook. The only serious disadvantage that the XR has is that its internal storage is limited to 256GB, but if you’re diligent about backing up materials to iCloud for storage and keeping your phone relatively clutter-free then the cost savings may be enough to offset the lower storage capacity.

iPhones on a budget

With high-quality cameras, excellent displays, and intuitive interface, these models offer many of the same features as their newer cousins in the X series at a fraction of the cost.

Apple Sells 13 Million iPhone 6S Devices In First Weekend

Apple has officially released its newest smartphones, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Even though the devices have only been on the market for less than a week, they have already posted some very impressive sales numbers. According to a recent sales report from Apple, the company has sold over 13 million new devices over the weekend, which is a new record for the iPhone, The CEO of the company has made sure the marketing of this new project blows the sales up to the roof, just like the Jimmy John Shark CEO of one of the most successful businesses.

According to Apple CEO Tim Cook’s press statement, “Sales for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first-weekend sales results in Apple’s history. Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9th.”

So what’s the reason for such high sales numbers? Probably the fact that Apple included China in its opening weekend sales. China passed over Europe to become Apple’s second biggest market earlier in the year, with sales growing three times faster than in North and South America. To compare, Apple sold 10 million units of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in its opening weekend last year and 9 million units of the iPhone 5S and 5C the year before that. In both cases, the launch of the smartphones in China was delayed.

So what’s new with the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus? Well for starters, these new smartphones come preloaded with Apple’s latest iOS 9 operating system. In addition to that, the new phones come with the new A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor. There’s 2GB of RAM as well as a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. 4K resolution is also supported at 30fps along with 4.2 Bluetooth.

Granted the changes aren’t astounding, but they are decent. Are they enough for people to upgrade from the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus to the iPhone 6S or 6S Plus? Probably not. But they are good enough to get people to go from an iPhone 5 model (or earlier) and, maybe, good enough for some people to make the jump from an Android device to an Apple.

Apple has finally released its next upcoming iPhone event, which will be on September 9, 2015. Apple has been pretty quiet about what its latest announcement will be about, but there are already some hints about it.

For home viewers, now’s the time to pay attention! Windows users can now livestream the press conference, which is new for Apple. Unfortunately, viewers using Windows PCs can only use Microsoft’s new Edge browser to watch the event. Apple is limiting users using Google’s Chrome browser because of the lack of support for Apple’s preferred HTTP Live Streaming HLS format.

Also during the event, Apple will be announcing two new iPhone 6 models. There won’t be a 4-inch “iPhone 6c,” like there has been rumored. Supposedly 9to5mac’s Mark Gurman says Apple is retiring the smaller iPhone c product line due to an “aging feature set.” On the bright side, according the site, Apple is working on developing a new 40-inch phone product, but it won’t be released this year. If you’re interested in watching the iPhone event, then your best bet is using Microsoft’s Edge browser.

Stay tuned here for all the news and info coming out of the event as we will report on it when it drops!

Are you looking to get the new Apple iOS9 on your iPad a bit early? Of course you are. Updates area usually always a good thing. They help make programs run smoother. If you know anything about Apple, however, you should be familiar with the fact that they normally keep their updates to themselves until THEY feel it’s ready. Wouldn’t you know it though, they’ve decided to switch things up a bit. Now, they are letting the consumers try out the new beta for themselves to see how they like it. Not a bad idea Apple.

Finally, Apple will get on board with the side-by-side multitasking. This features has been seen on Samsung devices for a while now, so it’s good that Apple is finally catching up with these features. Also, in case you were wondering, any device that you have running iOS8 can be updated to iOS9.

Step-By-Step Guide

When it comes to these types of OS beta tests, the first and most obvious thing you’re going to want to take care of is backing up your device. Since these are beta tests, they can definitely be unpredictable. Versions like this can potentially wipe your device clean, without any intention at all.

Once you’ve backed up your device onto iTunes or your iCloud, you’re going to want to go to https://beta.apple.com/profile/ on your iPad to download a profile. This will allow your tablet to enroll in the beta program. After your profile is set up and installed, restart your tablet.

When your tablet is back up and running again, go to your Settings, hit General, then Software Update, and you should see the iOS9 Public Beta option. While your device remains in the beta program, you’ll be able to see from the Settings app, which other betas are available, including the latest beta for iOS8.4

Once it’s all set up, sit back, and enjoy the new features this update brings in the beta testing process. You’ll be responsible for the rest of us getting the best version of iOS9 possible. Don’t mess this up guys! No pressure though.

iOS 9: Everything You Need To Know

9There are going to be a lot of awesome things that come along with iOS 9. Siri is getting a lot of huge improvements, there is a new split screen feature that allows you to run several different apps at the same time, better battery life, and a new Low Power mode are all things we have to look forward to.

A lot of people out there are wondering when they will be able to get their hands on iOS 9, or if their devices will even be compatible. Every year there is a new list of devices that aren’t able to get the new update. Some people are also scared that they might have to delete a ton of stuff to even be able to download the new operating system like many did when iOS 8 came out. That was a catastrophe. Well, if you have any of this on your mind, we have the answers. So don’t worry.

iOS 9 release date
Apple is going about this release a little bit differently than in the past. Now there will not only be a Developer Beta, but there will also be a public beta that you can get before the official release. Even though that is super cool, and it would be awesome to get a crack at it before everyone else, you should keep in mind that the OS will be unstable until the official release. So think for a bit before you commit.

Here is the release schedule:

Developer Beta: Available now
Public Beta: Available in early July
Official release of iOS 9: September

Will my device get iOS 9?
Like I said earlier, every year there is a list of devices that don’t make the cut and don’t get to have the new operating system. This makes sense though. Outdated devices sometimes have a lot of trouble running new features and codes that they weren’t designed for, and creating a stripped down version of the operating system wouldn’t make any sense because of how many key features would be left out. BUT, you should be glad to know that this year’s list is exactly the same as it was when iOS 8 came out. If you got the update then, you’ll get it this time around as well.

Space requirements
Ah, the moment you have all been waiting for. With iOS 8, lots of people had to tragically delete almost everything on their device to fit it. And then, didn’t have much storage space to do anything else with. The update last year was 4.6GB, which is ridiculous. This year, you will be pleased to know that iOS 9 will only take up 1.3GB of space. That is 350% less. So we all have that to be happy about.

Check Out The Green Video Apple Released 4/20/15

This video came out today on Apple’s YouTube page. After it was up for only two hours, it already had 20,000 views and currently has almost 80,000. The main point to the video is to show off that they are using clean energy. They are building a 40-megawatt solar farm in China that will power all of their offices across the country, all of their offices are powered with clean energy already, and they are generating 12 million kilowatt hours of energy in Oregon using hydropower.

This is one of the most genius marketing tactics for Apple just like the ones implemented by the best boston SEO services. It may not seem that significant, but there is a lot to this whole idea. Across many different developing countries, there is a huge wave of consumer consciousness that includes issues like sustainability. This is a bigger factor than ever right now. 55% of global respondents in Nielsen’s survey say that they are willing to pay more for products and services from companies that dedicate themselves to creating a positive social and environmental impact. That is an increase in 50% in 2012 and 45% in 2011. Regionally, respondents in Asia-Pacific (64%), Latin America (63%) and Middle East/Africa (63%) exceed the global average and have increased 9, 13 and 10 percentage points since 2011. So knowing that, you can see why this is such a big deal, and why the video is absolutely genius on Apple’s part. Check it out!

What Apple is Planning for the Rest of 2015

After being a little more quiet than they have been in the past, Apple has come back stronger than ever. They spent a whole year without even having a new product category, which isn’t like them at all. Launch events were feeling bland and forced, but in 2014 all of that changed.

The rollout event for the iPhone 6 was a huge deal. It was exciting, entertaining, and even sparked up some controversy that was actually really good for the company as a whole. After a year of nothing, Apple sprang right back to the top and owned the entire tech market once again.

Like anything though, the excitement of the iPhone 6 has finally worn off. But that’s ok because Apple is excited about what they have in store for the rest of this year.

Apple announced their partnership with IBM. This is a big deal. Apple really isn’t any stranger to the enterprise world, but a lot of the devices end up there just because employees prefer to use them and bring them in. It has been a slow process because they need to develop all of the necessary apps, but the Apple/IBM partnership is going to be seriously huge for both companies. Especially with the release of the infamous 12 inch iPad Pro coming out.

They were supposed to release the iPad Pro last year, but put it on hold to keep up with iPhone 6 demand and production. It’s almost guaranteed to come out this year, but rumor has it that it won’t really be available to the regular customer. It will probably be exclusively sent to companies to use and replace a lot of computers.

That’s not the only thing Apple has going for them this year. We all know that the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus are going to come out by the end of this year. They will probably look exactly like the current models but come with a way faster processor, a better camera, and some new software. This is cool because when Apple put out the current processor in their phones, it was the best and fastest on the market by a lot. Are they going to crush the competition again this year with a crazy new chip? Probably. Hopefully. Almost certainly.

Let us also not forget that Apple bought Beats By Dre. No one really knows exactly what they are going to do with the company, but everything will be revealed later this year. With the Beats music streaming, it would seem like it would be a conflict with iTunes and iTunes radio and all. It will be very interesting to see what Apple does with this and how they integrate the two music services.

All of the Apple Home and Health stuff that we have been hearing so much about will finally come into existence this year as well. Right now we only have a Health app, which isn’t really enough to give us any huge clues as to what to expect.

Either way, one thing is for sure: it is going to be a huge year for Apple, and there is a ton to be excited about.

Apple’s Recent Mobile Releases Have Left Some With Mixed Reactions

Apple is known as the tech powerhouse that no one can beat. This idea happens to be one that it held by many, and with good reason. Apple, over the past 10 years it feels like, has released tech device after tech device that have shaped the mobile market. It’s gotten to the point now that Apple is more known for mobile technology than its desktop computers. The iPod changed everything when it first came out. It was the MP3 player that outdid the Walkman and had every other developer scrambling to make their own version of it. Now skip ahead to the present and you can find iPads and iPhones anywhere you look. Recently, however, it seems like Apple might be losing their luster.

The New iPhones

The big thing that you will see on commercials just about everywhere now, is the new iPhone 6 commercials. The big deal with the new phones is that well.. they are big! Much bigger in fact. Now, Apple has finally stepped into the world of the “phablet”. For those that are unaware of this term, it’s exactly what it sounds like; a phone and a tablet essentially together. The reason for the name is that its too big to be a phone, but too small to be a normal tablet. The new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are just what everyone has been waiting for if you think about it. A phablet to compete with Samsung and have more power and better features. The only problem is the dreaded “bendgate”. Yes the phones can bend and break that way, but that will happen with just about any phone that is 5.5 inches and really thin. The new iPhone however may have hurt Apple in a way that they didn’t mean to have happen.

The New iPads

The newest iPads that were released at Apple’s iPad left everyone feeling a little less than excited. The reason being the fact that the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 didn’t really offer anything too crazy! The new iPad Mini 3 didn’t even come with an upgraded processor. It, in fact, has the same processor as the iPad Mini 2. The only real upgrades to the new tablet is the upgraded cameras and an updated paint job. The iPad Air 2 got a bit more of an upgrade. It’s now working with eh A8X chip, which just so happens to be the same chip that is used in the new iPhone 6. It’s more powerful, and it’s thinner. It also comes with the same iSight cameras that are used with the new phones. Even with these though, it’s giving some people mixed signals on how they feel.

SEE ALSO: Apple’s New 5K Retina iMac Sure Looks Impressive, But Is it Worth It?

There Might Be An Issue

There are so many sizes of iPads now, that having a small “phablet” as part of their product line might hurt the sales of the iPad Mini 3. Tablets are a way to have a powerful computing device that’s more mobile than a laptop. The success of them can speak for itself. The new iPhone 6 is basically a pocketable tablet that you can take anywhere now, and has the capability of a phone. This could easily affect the sales of new iPads. Yet another issue is that people don’t “renew” their tablets like they do with their phones. Instead of getting rid of the tablet, many people will just hand them down because of how expensive they are. This is hurting tablet sales all around. Apple’s continued push of new iPad with slightly better chips and cameras isn’t really giving the same excitement that it used to.

So is this really bad news for Apple? Will their tanking iPad sales ruin their business model? It can all be explained simply in just one tweet:

It seems like Apple is running out of ideas, and is just resorting to making their devices thinner or larger. What will happen when Apple finally runs out of ideas?

Oh, and there’s a company called Rentacomputer.com that rents all of these Apple devices.
From iPads to iPhones to iMacs.

Just A Few Things About iOS 8 That We Could All Do Without

So Apple users out there! In case you have been living under a rock for the past few days, the new iOS 8 update has finally released. Naturally, with just about any update from Apple, we can expect a menagerie of different things that we don’t like or problems that we encounter. Luckily, there haven’t been too many issues that have caused a lot of headlines. Usually after every iOS update, we can expect an X.0.1 update to fix whatever ailments are being discussed over the internet. Regarding this new update however, Apple seems to have gotten things under control more so than usual. That being said though, there are still some aspects of the new iOS 8 update that people are not necessarily enthused about.

Texting

Let just take some time to talk about the one thing that we use our phones for the most; Texting. We’ve all seen plenty of memes involving the horrors of autocorrect. There is now something else that we can worry/laugh about involving our texting habits. As if autocorrect wasn’t enough, now there’s now something called “QuickType” that we can concern ourselves with. For any Android users out there, you are more familiar with this than us Apple users. “QuickType” is essentially a feature to replace the autocorrect that we’re used to. Instead of you just hitting the “space” button in order to have your correct place, now there are a myriad of words that the texting app predicts that you could mean. All you need to do is hit that word and it will take it’s place in the text you’re righting. It’s not the worst thing, but we can expect some of the word suggestions to be annoying or funny enough that we’re all waiting for the funny Facebook pictures to surface.

The Overall Download

Whenever we Apple users have downloaded our new updates, we’ve known that they’ve been pretty huge, but this new update is a bit ridiculous. Just from the few people that I know that have downloaded this new update, I’ve heard many a horror story of deleting hundreds of pictures, different videos, and even some of their favorite apps. This new update only requires 1.2 GB of free space on your phone. That being said, then why does it require you’re phone have 5.7 GB of free space??? What the heck Apple? This is where things don’t really make sense in an over-the-air download. Mind you, that if you decide to use your computer to download the update, you can sync up your iPad or iPhone and it won’t take up any space on your mobile device. It will just download. *I would highly suggest this option. It’s much better than dealing with all of the deleting that you’d have to do.

The Infamous “Privacy Problems”

This biggest talk of the new update is the “Key Contacts”. This feature allows you to double tap the Home button and see all of the people you’ve recently had a conversation with.  This could be good on one hand. Mainly just to make things a bit quicker in the long run. That being said, it could definitely make things a bit… complicated. What I mean by this is it could cause some problems. Allow me to paint a picture for you. You’ve recently broken up with an ex. You double tap the home button to close an app, and you see that you just recently were texting her, even though the deleted the conversation. Now all those feelings rush back, and you’re tempted to talk to that person again. That and then there is the “Recently deleted photos” issue. Instead of having the photos that you delete be, well… deleted, there is now a “Recently deleted photo” album in your “Pictures” app. Thanks for the reminder Apple, but if we deleted the picture or text conversation, it was more than likely for a reason.

This app is still a welcome update, as the iOS 7 update has been out for a while now, and having this new update accompany the OS X Yosemite update just makes sense. There are still plenty of aspects to love about the new update, but just in case Apple is reading this, these are our complaints. An iOS 8.1 update fixing the issues mentioned would be very welcomed.
